Overview
SmartStamp — Release notes

Version 1.1

One rule, many sheets — plus the 1.0 essentials: automatic timestamps, custom values, and conditions.

Version 1.1
September 2026

Sheets

  • New A range can now target several sheets — or all of them — from one set of settings, instead of re-creating the same rule on each tab. Targeting more than one sheet is part of the paid plans.
Version 1.0
July 2026

Stamping

  • New Watch a column and stamp a timestamp, your own custom value, the editing user's email, or a generated UUID — into another column or a fixed cell
  • New Custom values support {row}, {date}, {email}, {sheet}, and {uuid} tokens — plus {date:local} / {time:local} / {datetime:local} (your spreadsheet's locale) and the fixed {date:eu}, {date:us}, {date:long}, {time:us}, {datetime:eu}, {datetime:us} layouts for date and time formatting
  • New Multiple ranges can each stamp their own target from a single edit
  • New "Apply to existing rows now" backfills a range you just set up, no need to re-edit every row

Conditions & options

  • New Numeric conditions — greater/less than, equals, between and not between, is one of and is none of a list
  • New Date conditions — before, after, on, not on, on-or-before/after, between and not between (time ignored)
  • New String conditions — contains, starts/ends with, equals, regex, is one of and is none of a list, with optional case-insensitive matching
  • New Checkbox conditions — stamp when a box is checked or unchecked
  • New Don't-overwrite and remove-on-deletion options per range

Reliability & billing

  • New Built-in protection against stamp-loop configurations
  • New 14-day free trial, then a free plan (1 range, 30 rows) or Monthly, Yearly, and Lifetime plans for unlimited use
  • New Team/domain licenses — one purchase covers a whole organization, self-serve seat management for the buyer
